Practice Sessions Available

Learning Coach

Homework Helper / Study Table

Quiet, supervised work space where your child will have access to a certificated teacher to help with questions while s/he completes coursework.

For students in grades 5th-12th. Must be able to work independently with minimal redirection and supervision.

Light snacks and water will be available.

COVID-19 health mandates in place. Masks are required for entry into building; encouraged in office space.

Virtual Check In Support

Your student will receive 30 minute virtual sessions with a Learning Coach.

During these virtual check ins, your student will be able to get help and support with:

organizing and prioritizing assignments, deadlines, projects, due dates, homework support, time management and setting a routine to successfully complete course work, encouragement, problem solving, progress monitoring  

Back to School Boot Camp

Get your student back in the school mindset. We'll cover skills like note taking, reading comprehension, study skills, organization, time management, test taking hints.

​This is a 3-day workshop designed to help get your student set up for the new school year!

Mind the Gap

Keep your students' mind engaged and reduce the "summer slide". Spend two or three one-hour sessions every week using critical thinking skills, inquiry, problem solving, and other skills. 

These small group sessions are designed to give participants a fun, engaging, creative way in which to continue to use their mind during the summer. The goal is to slow the learning gap that develops over the summer.  This year, with COVID-19, students may be experiencing a greater learning gap.

A Learning Coach will create a plan with you and your student to help reduce the summer and COVID-19 learning gaps. 

Mindfulness

Does your student feel anxious or uncertain about school? Mindfulness is a practical strategy that can help people cope with and reduce their feelings of anxiety through the use of various techniques. One hour of mindfulness support.

Content / Skill Builder

Lessen the struggle over new concepts or review specific skills. Complete and submit the skill or concept assessment to identify the skill(s) you want help with, and a personalized learning plan will be created to support the area(s) you want to improve. One hour of skill specific support.  

Organization / Time Management

Is your student disorganized? Does he / she lose papers? Forgot homework? Do you argue about last minute deadlines and due dates? We will introduce various strategies to help your student better manage their time and to be better organized.
