K.I.S.S: Keep It Simple Silly
I have been a certificated teacher in Washington State since 2000, and have taught middle school and high school age students. For me, it is the family business; my father was a teacher for 30 years and my mother, a paraprofessional in life skills classrooms.
For as long as I can remember, sports and being competitive were typical parts of my daily life. In this new adventure, my goal is to combine learning with the things I learned from participating in sports.
Most recently I taught alternative high school - students disengaged with their learning and education, students who felt hopeless yet trusting; students who required a more personal or intentional plan to finish high school. This is where I discovered my knack for helping students realize their potential and for creating a plan to lead them where they wanted to go!
It is my ultimate privilege to be a part of a person graduating high school.
